Gilcrease Orchards

I think that the true hidden oasis in Las Vegas is the Gilcrease Orchards.  This is a cider farm, where they grow their own apples, and make their own cider.  The true fun is the vegetable and fruit selection available the you can pick yourself.  I have taken my family here to pick tomatoes, corn, squash, and apples.  The fruit is fresh, and is about what you would pay in the super market, but the experience is important for the children of today's world.  This is located in the North West of Las Vegas near the corner of Tenaya and Whispering Sands.  Check it out and post any comments on my blog.

Halloween Events in Las Vegas

I definitely think that one of the perks of living in las vegas is Halloween!!!   I think that Vegas has the best, and the most variety of Halloween events to celebrate in the country.  From trunk or treat at a local church, or a pumpkin archery shoot in the park, to the fright dome at Circus Circus, there are endless affordable things to do with your family.  I have included a link from the Las Vegas Review Journal with an exhausted list of things to do for adults and youth.  I  will keep everyone posted on cool links and cool things to do at Halloween in Las Vegas.
